- i put sample on my drawings when i post them online. i charge for my artwork so if i dont put the sample over lay on my artwork then anyone with a computer and a printer could have one of my pieces instead of paying me for the piece. that and this particluar client didnt want copies of his car sold so he would have the only hardcopy of it
