- i did something like this, with pastells as well, though we used a colored paper for the absolute medium tone. i used red paper, blue as darks, and pinks/yellow as brights. it ended up pretty damn cool. but i like yours. yew should look at my recent self portrait i did. did you do this from a photo or mirror?

- Totally reminds me of this place I used to hang Freshman year... the lights out side were orangy-yellow, so it made the shadows very blue-green.

- i used regular pastels no oil one. and yeah its analog colors except analog colors is where you pic one color and use the ones on the side of it between the next two primary colors. for example i picked yellow so i use what comes in between red and blue

- Cool, what type of pastel did you use? Oil? I like the contrast; I've done something similar, I think it's called using analog colors....next to each other on the color wheel.
