- I agree on some levels, but why can't an artist practice both. Their own style to improve on, and anime for fun. there is nothing wrong with drawing anime, although judging things differently because of style is totally wrong.

- I agree with you. because of the popularity of anime, people often get swept up in its fame, and don't try to come up with their own style. The style of anime, and how most of it often looks like one another, is like spoon feeding future artists. It's showing them that because of it's fanbase, it's ok to use and imitate. I love anime, I truly do, but as for the subject of it, it's ok to watch, observe yes, but not ok to draw. It should inspire future artists to come up with their own things and

Whoops, got cut off. I think that the love of anime is really holding many people back as artists. They don't have room to grow or improve because the only want to draw what's popular.
As for this image, I get a 4+ rating on it. Personally I'd give it a 2 for all the crap it is. - Report As Spam
