- Description: A Maiko (apprentice Geisha) her kanzashi (hair ornaments) on her left signify December- every maiko gets two signatures from their favourite kabuki actors- one being favorite male actor, the other- in the red is their favorite onnagata (male playing female) the ornament is decorated with good fortune charms and luck charms. It somewhat varies Maiko to Maiko.
