- Description: This is a painting I did for a regional art competition when I was a senior in high-school in 2010. I won second place. I saw this flower in my neighbors garden and was mystified by it. I asked my neighbor what it was and she said it was a rare Bird of Paradise. Thus my inspiration was born.
