- Title: Mule Deer
- Artist: Chibi Halo
- Description: Sometimes a wrong turn down a side road can bring you the most amazing of surprises. Taken on a cloudy May day in 2006, this unexpected surprise in the Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Park was a joy to photograph. The mule deer stood perfectly still as the car full of four seniors and one nature photographer watched in awe at their sight. Taken with a Canon EOS Digital Rebel camera with a 75mm-30mm lens and a 58mm circular polarizer. Digital processing and cleanup done in Photoshop CS.

- It was amazing how it just stood there as the others fed off the leaves in the background. Then, out of nowhere a second deer came along and the first one began to tenderly nuzzle the second as it turned to look straight at the camera.
