- Title: Yellow Performance
- Artist: Miette

Description:
I was playing with the exposure on my camera and I got this. I think it looks really cool...The light turned out bright yellow, and the word that was on the tv as it blurred across is "performance," so that's why I gave it this name. :3
This picture is actually kind of old, taken in April...but I still don't really understand using exposure for light drawing and stuff and I'm really interested, so if you could give me any hints about it, I'd love to hear them. :D - Date: 10/06/2009

I actually like it....It reminds me of those photos they use to put in the back of photography magazines where you would guess what is was....this is really interesting and gets 5/5 from me...

- For examples of what you can create with long exposures and painting with light, go to my own gallery and look for the pictures 'Magic Paint', 'Light Flower' and 'Stories can come true' (they're like on page 3). All those pictures have objects in them that were lit by/or enhanced by using light and long exposure shots.

Well no offense, but this shot looks like you tripped while taking a picture so it came out like that.
Light painting (or so it's called) needs a lot more effort put into for thinking up of an idea to take a picture of. There's a lot of things you can do with light painting and long exposure shots.
The first thing that you do is take the picture in complete darkness for starters (you don't want to do long exposure shots in a well-lit room). - Report As Spam

- The exposure is mainly used outside for a better picture, like when the sun makes the lighting all weird. i think. my dad is a professional photographer and i think thats right
