• Akira: The Darkness pt 28
    -Akira’s Dream 2:00 am-
    “Mama, mama when are we going to the festival?” A little silver haired boy tugged on his mother’s dress. He looked just like Nijix, but I couldn’t make out the mother’s face.
    “ I don’t know sweet heart, wait until your father comes home.” The woman’s hair was long and black with silver and gray streaks. But she sounded like me, I walked up to her and tapped her shoulder.
    “Excess me but who are you?” I could tell she was startled but when she turned to face me she had to face, no eyes, no eyebrows. Nothing but a smile.
    “My name is… Akira Mino, wife of my beloved Tiyo-san. This is my son, Nijix but my other son Kino is with his father. May I ask why have you come into this world?” I finally realized she was me but, she was older. Well..she…I looked like a 36 year old. And Nijix looked like a 7 year old with a bad hair day.

    “……….” I didn’t say a word as I fainted. This can’t be happening… I hope this won’t happen for real. This must mean Nijix and Kino died, and I had to marry Tiyo-san. Please tell me this is not true. Please mother and father…please.

    -Akira’s View-
    I woke up with tears streaking my face.
    “It was all a dream…nothing more. Nothing more.” Looking to the left I saw Nijix’s laying on my shoulder and Tiyo on my right wrapped his arm around my waist. I was cornered, no wonder I had a weird scary dream. They were surrounding me. Tiyo’s eyes opened suddenly, but they were blue, flinching I almost jumped out of bed. Tiyo held my hand, and chuckled softly.

    “Told you…spirits don’t sleep.” Tiyo laughed silently.
    “…Your eyes are blue.” Was all I could say, Tiyo looked puzzled but then blinked his eyes a little. They went back into there’s normal almost black color.
    “Better?” Tiyo smiled, and Nijix was snoring like a log, and I think he drooled on my shoulder.

    “….Sort of…” I laughed as I pushed Nijix to the floor, but he didn’t wake up.
    “He’s meditating. For about 7 hours now, he’ll wake up in a 6 hours though.” Tiyo shrugged.
    It was awkward, I was in bed with Tiyo-san and Nijix couldn’t even complain. Just plain weird, I slowly inched away from Tiyo.
    “My eyes were blue because I was seeing your dream. Don’t worry, it’s not real. It won’t ever happen.” Tiyo smiled and hugged me, his embrace was so warm.

    “Thanks Tiyo-san, but if it ever does that means Nijix dies.” My back was turned to Tiyo, so I couldn’t see his expression. A tear ran down my cheek just thinking about Nijix dying. Tiyo-san wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me towards him gently.
    “ He won’t die….I promise.” Tiyo-san sounded unsure, like he knew Nijix would die, but I pushed that in the back of my mind.

    “Don’t touch me….” I got up out of the bed and headed outside the apartment to clear my thoughts. Even if it meant meeting up with Kino.

    -Nijix’s View, Meditation-
    Floating in the clouds and beyond the sunset felt so great. For once I felt alive and free like a bird. But this would be coming to a end very soon. Why can’t I meditate for a little bit longer? Plus, home come death isn’t like this?!! I mean come on now, I hate being stuck in darkness for twenty years and so on. I need this curse lifted already…even if Akira made it in the first place and she didn’t even know it.

    -About over 15,300 years ago, Nijix’s View-
    “ Mikoyi!! Wait up, you know me and Nijix can’t run fast! What do you want to show us?” Kino laughed and puffed as he ran up the hill with me. We were following our childhood friend Mikoyi, she was a witch in training but she was a nice one.
    “It’s someone I want yawl to meet! He’s a angel! Literally!” Mikoyi smiled as she speed past the trees and into the meadow. We lived a in a peaceful land but this was witching season so witches all over met here and caused trouble. That’s how we met Mikoyi, she was the size of a pea when we found her practicing magic, she said she had shrunk herself by accident.

    We finally made it up the hill. But we saw someone how looked just like a angel. He was about 7ft tall, with dark eyes and gray metallic hair it rain down to his feet.
    “ Nijix, Kino meet my brother Tiyo-san!” Mikoyi smiled brightly. She had deep green eyes and purple metallic hair. She was a happy sight to see!
    “Woah….big…big…brother…” Kino stammered. We didn’t fight a lot, and Kino wasn’t really evil he was just jealous a lot.

    “Yep, and he’s here to make us all stay together forever!” What Mikoyi said scared me.
    “Wait forever? What do you mean? You know we are all going to die. I don’t want to be immortal now.” I stammered with my arms crossed. Kino just stared at me.
    “Nijix shut up, let Mikoyi continue.”
    “Well when I mean forever, I mean like when we die we can be together forever. No matter what! And we will all remember our past lives! Isn’t that great Nijix?! We can be a family over and over again!” Mikoyi’s smile scared me, it turned wicked. Tiyo-san didn’t look happy either, like he didn’t know.

    “How about it Kino, would you like eternal life? And Nijix you could be with me forever, and ever.” Mikoyi’s words were silky smooth.
    Tiyo-san placed a hand on Mikoyi’s shoulder.

    “I think it’s best you don’t do this little sister. Who knows what will happen…” Tiyo had a point. Mikoyi pushed his hand away, hands on hips.
    “No brother! I want them to be with me forever! And ever! I’m immortal and you are too! But they aren’t, I love them big brother! I want them to be with me forever!” Mikoyi was throwing a tantrum. She closed her eyes and starting whispering. The air grew cold and the trees stopped swaying.

    “Mikoyi…don’t…this might not be unbroken if I stay with you.” Tiyo-san calmly stated.
    “No you stay there! We will all be together forever! Forever mine! FOREVER!!!” Mikoyi screamed and Tiyo-san was instantly bonded to a tree.

    “You see I needed big brother so the spell would be unbreakable. Angel’s really do have a power boost. After I’m done me and Nijix will be forever together. And you too Kino, will be with me forever. But I never really liked you anyway, so you can just rot.” Mikoyi laughed again and started to start her spell. Kino didn’t hear anything because he was knocked unconscious by the power of the spell. All except me.

    “….Mikoyi if you really like me don’t do this. This isn’t right! At all! Just let us all die!” But Mikoyi didn’t listen to me, suddenly the ground shook beneath her feet, she dropped to the ground, she was pale as a vampire.
    She tilted her head weakly and smiled.

    “It’s done Nijix…but I’m a mortal now….I’ll see you in the next life, but for some reason..I won’t remember at all….I love you…my love…” Mikoyi was confused, I didn’t love her at all. She looked so vulnerable, the earth shook again and it cracked, like a hex all around Mikoyi. She looked to the sky as the earth slowly rose up like a cage and quickly smashed her inside, all I could hear was the sharpest scream I shall ever hear in my life.

    “…Mikoyi….”

    “ That’s the ultimate price for forever….see you in the next life Nijix..” Tiyo-san and Kino both said their eyes closed, as they faded away. I looked at my hand, it was slowly seeping away, blood ran down my arm…until nothing else remained.

    This was Mikoyi’s curse….Akira’s Curse.
