It seemed like hours before i saw something in teh think of people, A cave, no. A hole in the wall that split off from the cavern i was standing in, i was in a cave. it was dark to, not pitch black -can-you-pass-me-the-flashlight dark, but dusk like light. The only source of light i could see was the orange glow of torches in the distance. where was I? i wanted to be home, to pet my dog, and to eat the leftover Chinese food that was still in my fridge.
"Hey! you the girl who has stopped walking...start walking!" i turned my head at the sharp voice that sprang up from the hole i had mentioned earlier, it had to be ten feet above the ground and big enough to fit, maybe a bike into. A head appeared out of the hole, eye less it's sockets where pitch black, it had a pale lime colored skin and a jagged smile, two striped horned erupted from it's head and he looked down at...me...uh-oh i froze when i felt it's eye's that weren't there burn into my own eye's.
" well? didn't you hear me? get movin! some people arn't happy your standed there like a plank!" a pale lime hand with four long striped claws shoo'ed her. I shook my head and bolted into the crowd wnted to get as far away from the grotesque beast as i could.
the crowd yelled and jumped out of the way as i burst past them. some just went into a fit of cursing while others sobbed. i froze and whirled around. that man, he. He had a axe in his head! i stared mouth open at the man with the hatchet sticking out of his head, blood covered the mans face, blinding him, another was helping him move with the flow of the crowd.
" hey!! i asked for you to move, not start a freakin marathon!" it was the monster again, he was out of his hole and landed next to me, his jagged teeth bent at odd angles as he spoke. His wings looked tattered and burned in many places, they stuck out of his back black and looking out of place from the rest of his body. his legs where bent like a cat's and had feet that looked both padded like a felines, and hoof like.
"hey! lady my eye's are up here!" he grabbed chin and pulled her head up so she was once again looking at his frighting face.
" wh-what wrong with you?" he dropped her head and put one claw on his hip like he was annoyed. i just shrugged, unable to speak.
" well get your act together lady, i don't want to have to talk to you again, jeeze i've got enough work watching all of these souls, you think i'm gonna be able to keep an eye on you...keep...moving...got it?" i said nothing. souls? it didn't compute, he couldn't be watching souls because that would mean.
The cold hard truth hit me like a rock.
i was dead

- It's a little awkwardly written. Try reading it out loud to yourself. The idea is good though, a little shocking at the end.
