I skipped into the house, twirling one of my pigtails in my right hand. I closed the door behind me and collapsed on the couch. It was comfy, always almost inviting me to sleep there as opposed to my lumpy mattress in my room. I sighed and rolled over. Then, I heard the door.
"Hey Sweet, can I borrow some gold?" I heard Spicy ask from the doorway. I seethed, getting up and staring Spicy straight in the eye.
"You lost all your gold in a lotto game, didn't you?" I accused, putting my hands on my curvy hips.
"No! I just, need some gold for a lotto game," Spicy said, her voice withering a bit. I knew she was lying. I groaned, collapsing back on the couch. Why oh why.
"Spicy, come here." I whispered in a dull voice. I heard her grunt.
"What?" She asked, her voice turning harsh. I closed my eyes for about ten seconds then opened them once more.
"Empty your pockets," My voice seemed tired and friendly.
"Why?" She asked, her voice gaining a suspicious edge as I heard her starting to back away.
"Empty them!" I yelled, jumping up and grabbing her by the shoulders. Her red eyes glinted with anger as she grumbled some unintellectual words and started to empty her pockets. Lotto tickets fell from her hands. I groaned and rested my forehead on her shoulder.
"Now, tell me how much you lost, and how much you won."
"I lost...all my gold, I won, 100 gold." As I heard that, adrenaline rushed through my veins, anger pulsing through my head.
"I want you to go back there and refund all of those tickets! Now! I don't care what they say, I just want you to do it now!" I screamed, my anger deflating with each word. Spicy started to yell.
"No! What if I don't want to? You get a hearty amount of gold anyways from those old hags you always visit and all your friends! Why can't I just get some gold from you?!" Spicy raged, putting her hands on her hips and literally screaming. Her little pet bat had come out to rest on her shoulder. It had an enraged look on its face.
"That's for food and stuff for our house! Not for lotto tickets!" I yelled, my Hermes coming to rest on my shoulder.
"Fine!"
"Fine!"
We retreated to our rooms, our tempers flaming.
