• The Girl with No Emotions

She looked at her watch. It was 6:57. School started in 13 minutes and she just got up! She showed no emotion.
“I am going to wear clothes” The girl thought to herself.
“Of course you are, Hun.” Her mother said coming upstairs. “You better hurry up, school starts in less then 15 minutes, I don’t want you to be late again!” Her mother said with much emotion on her face.
“Alice! Can you hear me?” Her mothers tone rang.
“Of course I can here you, Janice.” Alice replied emotionlessly to her mother.
“I would greatly appreciate it if you called me ‘Mom,’ instead of Janice. It’s rude!” Her mother yelled with concern.
Yet again, emotionlessly, Alice said “I have to change, can you get out.”
Janice yawned and walked out of the room.
No words came out of Alice until she was at school.
“I am 20 minutes late.” Alice announced to herself with no care in her tone. If you think she was weird now, think how she was when she was a baby. She never cried, whined, or smiled.
Alice’s first class was Math. She was as smart as Albert Einstein.
“If anyone gets this question right… then there is no math homework for the whole week.” Alice’s teacher announced.
    On the board wrote…
    ([3]9[-7])2+(-200)54=
“1918134” Alice answered in no time at all.
“That is correct!” The teacher yelled.
    “YAY!” The class burst out.
“Good Job Alice!” Was all Alice heard she rest of the day.
Why are they so appreciative? She asked herself. I did not do anything spectacular… did I?
Alice sighed with no emotion on her face or in her mind. She looked at her planner… nothing was in it. Had she forgotten to write down her homework?
She thought to herself, “English homework… is nothing. Chemistry is nothing. History is nothing. Math…” Her voice trailed off.
“Do I have any math homework?” She asked herself aloud.
“Of course you don’t. Don’t you remember what happened at math? That was like a true miracle.” A young boy named Jacob told her.
    “Yeah.” Jacob’s friend, Danni said.
“Why don’t you show any emotion? You should be ecstatic!” Danni’s voice screeched.
“Why, I have no emotion because I am a robot.” Alice sighed.
