• The Game

Crunch, went the velvet red colored leaves as Jezebel put an old, worn out checkers broad on a broken flower pot. The flower pot was decorated with flowers painted on its huge tall shape, though it was faded due to the London’s cold damp weather. Elliot was sat on a tiny wooden stool; he looked at her with a thin coiled smile, his red hair made it hard to look him in his eyes, since his long bangs covered his eyes. He pointed to the black ones and looked away at the nice dull sky. Jezebel finally sat down, and placed red checkers in front of herself; and black in front of Elliot.
Peers gathered around the mismatched battle; a genius verse a collage drop out. Most people laughed upon Elliot side, humorously enough that he challenged a genius. Elliot tapped and banged on the pot making a hollowed sound. Hints of genius tinted his grin himself. The game begun quickly with Jezebel took Elliot’s black piece, though Elliot quickly stole her red piece as soon as you could blink. Back and forth, forth and back, they counter each other. The bystanders watched with a dear amazement, suspense rolled across the London Bridge, to the park we sat at. It carried on until Jezebel was left with two tiny pieces and Elliot with one. Elliot and Jezebel made soft sneer to each other.
Jezebel looked up at him and smiled at Elliot, she cornered him softly. Her other piece stayed two places behind the first one. She hadn’t realized what a mistake that was, but once she noticed, the game was over. Elliot jumped her first piece; making Jezebel laugh nervously as Elliot heartlessly jumped her other lonesome piece.
Dully she stared at the game, her mouth gapped as everyone gasped; Elliot laughed, and said softly for Jezebel to hear “One tiny false move ended your game, eh genius.”
Elliot smiled and flicked the board making it half fall of the flower pot. Checkers made a clinking sound as red and black colors blurred cooling to the cement ground. Jezebel blinked like humming birds’ wings flap.
“Nice game, that was an in genius move.” She smiled and held her hand out.
    He smiled, “ You too.”
