• My heart pounded deep within my chest as I ran toward the light. The flickering light. It was dim yet still so bright. I was mesmarized by it, the light was sinister and had a certain darkness to it, but had a certain sweet comforting feeling to it also. Finally, I reached the porch. The light was nothing more than a porch light. That's when I knew, I fell in love with light. Funny. A fifteen year old girl, in love, with a light. I just couldn't help myself. I envied the person who owned that light, the porch, the house on which the light stayed. I called the light, Everlasting. Everlasting Sun. Even though it had a dark feeling and didnt have anything at all in common with the sun. It still was warm and cheerful like the sun. And so this was the beginning of the enlightment of my life.
