• My eyes fluttered open. i was back at base. Regal was asleep on the chair beside me.

    You probably would have guessed these are not our real names. Regal keeps his name a secret, only known by me and him of course. My real name is Moon, at least, that was the name i was given. Regals real name is Polymus, until the other kid trainees called him "polly" so he changed his name to Regal.
    Another thing i should tell you about is our command center. there is about 50 staff 8 teams (including my team) and about 200 "security". i dont no what they are. they have cloaks around thier bodys and hoods on thier heads with a mask covering their face. they scare me.
    Our building was a large tower with a hall at the base.at the end of the hall there are 6 elevators, leading to any room in the building.

    Regal woke up suddenly.
    "Oh, your awake" He said sleepily "Wolf wants to see you, top floor command bridge" he gestered to the elevator
    "How long have i been out?" i asked
    "About 3 hours"
    "3 hours?!"
    "Give or take 4" He slumped back in his chair and then opened his eyes again "uniform" he said. I looked round and sure enough it was there. i heaved it on and went inside the elevator. i pressed number 12. Slowly but surely the elevator went up.

    It started as a rumble and the elevator shook. i grabbed hold of the bars to keep me from falling over. The doors opened

    I had entered a different world.

    People were rushing everywhere, holding paper and weaponry. i clenched my sword.
    "Moon get over here!" it was Wolf
    "What happened sir?" i asked with my sword in my hand
    "It’s the Warlords" he said glumly
    "Is that some kind of pop group?" i asked the question and Wolf looked at me. the whole place shook.
    "Positions everybody!" he shouted and pulled out his revolver. it was old fashioned but it did the job.
    I turned with my gun in my hand and aimed at the elevator.

    The doors opened.

    "Its ok its only security" i tuned and saw Regal there. how did he get there? I thought.

    All hell broke loose

    Everyone started firing at the security. SMG's, shotguns, even a chaingun was there.

    It stood there like nothing had happend and suddenly he was next to a shotgun guy. Meter long talons ripped out of the coat and slashed at the man. He disintergrated. It moved around like lightening, killing everyone. Then it saw me.

    It froze to the spot

    Suddenly a shot came from behind me, louder than all the others.

    The Warlord had a bullet sized hole through its chest. It collapsed and the melted. Yes melted.

    I looked behind me

    i was looking at a man in his late 20's sharp eyes and blonde hair. he was reloading his gun, a 3/4 meter long rifle
    "Sorry 'bout that” he said and looked around he fixed his eyes on the window, I looked as well
    Three monsters walked through the forest. They were at least as tall as the building
    "You four" he looked at us "into my airship, quick" everyone was up but me and the man.
    "Who are you?" I asked
    "Me?" he said with a smirk "im Balthier, now get up that ladder Moon"

    The first thing i saw was the airship. The front was like a normal ship without sails, but propellers. i walked inside and found the room where everyone was. i thought of Balthier and how he had saved all four of us.

    Wait, four?

    i did a headcount, me, Regal, Sam and Faux. where was Wolf? it suddenly came to me, the warlord. All the blood. How it froze when it saw me.

    It reminded me of the moon. The dreaded moon.

    I blacked out.
