• I sat in the back seat next to my baby doll sister and my non social brother. I felt the sunlight warmth hit my face and the breeze gently brush against my cheek. We were driving to our new house, a little house in a little town. I listened to the music as we drove the winding roads of Washington. I loved the smell of the cold, crisp, pine air and the trees that brought such amazing air. Even though the sun was out, shining over our car, we could survive. Most people have told you that if you were in fact a vampire, you couldn’t be in the sunlight. I could. My mom was human and my dad was vampire. I’m a mix. My dad really can’t be in the sunlight or he’ll shine. My mom and the rest of us could. I was the odd one in the group. I am Alexa Marie Valentine. I had some side effects of being human and vampire. I could read minds, See from far away, hear far away, and see the future and run amazingly fast. I’m only seventeen. The rest of my family can’t do anything. Like I said, I was the weird one. I didn’t know why I was blessed with this amazing load of gifts, but, I somewhat embraced it. My sister, Elizabeth, she was the blue eyed baby girl. She had ringlets of wavy blonde hair that bounced when she giggled. She was the true star of the family. My brother is way easier, He didn’t like authority. He despised the rules of the family. He followed them either way. I never fell in love with anyone. I didn’t know what love felt like. Most boys didn’t look at me because I was so pale, with pale rose lips and always looking like I was in pain. I was a woman of many faces like my mom said. I could be nice and bubbly and friendly one minute and the next, Mean and depressed and anti-social the next. I was weird and I was unpredictable. I wasn’t like anything that you’d imaged. I was and still am, that one vampire girl who has her head in the clouds.
