• I thought that my first day at Grant Junior High would be like all the movies, with hulking bullies and geeks that seemed to be from another planet. Little did I know that one of my classmates really was from another planet.
    It all started with role call in Ms. Feather's homeroom class, as I suddenly sprang to life when she called my name, Rhonda Glen rather than Ronnie, as I liked to be called. Suddenly, a such a silence fell over the classroom that I had never experienced as everyone's head was drawn towards the door.
