• Chapter 4


    “ Are you shore you don’t want to go to school”, Kieren was giving me a hard time about school only because my skin felt colder then yesterday. I did feel cold but it felt good this time, its not like I’m going to die.
    “ No my mom stays home so I asked her to keep an eye on you”, I looked at him funny. He grabbed his keys and was just about to open the door.
    “ I said I’m fine, I can’t miss school. If I fall behind its all over”, he laughed.
    “ If you want I will get you you’re work, write down your teachers name and class period”, I grabbed a sheet of paper and wrote down the names. I gave them to him, he looked at the paper then laughed. “ We have four of the same teachers.”
    “ It’s a small school”, he opened the door and the light touched my skin. Pain when through my body and I fell to the floor, wanting the darkness. Kieren saw me and closed the door, he dropped his stuff. “ No, I’m ok. Just go to school”, he looked puzzled. He helped me up off the floor and moved me to the couch, he gave me the controller.
    “ Here, it kills time. I’ll be back soon ”, I nodded. The door opened then closed, why did the sun hurt me so much. Something fishy was going on, I wanted answers but I no one will give me the right ones.

    I played Halo2 almost all day, I never ate breakfast or lunch which was weird. Sarah was outside all day, she came in to eat then went back outside. It was quiet all day long, I felt fine after a few hours the burn on my arms where gone. I was getting better at Halo2 which I was proud of, I looked at the clock in the kitchen it was only two ten. My mouth was dry then my stomach started to goral at me, I looked for meat in the fridge. I found roar stake and put it in my mouth, the blood ran down my mouth. I closed my eyes and took it in, I opened them up and something was wrong. I could see little dust bunny’s, I looked at the back door to find it about to open. With out thinking I wanted to run to the bath room, I started to run but I was in the bath room with the door locked. The door opened then closed, she walked in the kitchen then walked back outside. I put the toilet set down and sat on it and ate the rest of my stake. My hand where all bloody, I got up and turned on the sink. I looked up at the mirror to look at myself, but the person in the mirror wasn’t me or was it. My hair was longer and my eyes where red, all over my mouth was blood from the stake.
    What have I become, that has happened to myself. I opened the door to find Kieren getting out of his car, he was talking to himself outside.
    “ Man she’s going to kill me I didn’t get her papers for class”, I shook my head. How could I here that, he’s in the front yard I’m inside. The door opened the closed I walked or I thought I walked over to see him, he jumped when he saw me.
    “ Hey, I didn’t see you there. What happened to you”, I shook my head.
    “ I need to see my mom know”, He nodded. Then whipped something off of my face, It was blood from a few minutes ago. He opened the door and I moved quickly out of the way, the sun was still in the sky. I went to the living room and grabbed the blanket and pulled it over my head, Kieren saw me and laughed.
    “ Why do you have a blanket over your head, you don’t need it”, I nodded. He was wrong I did need it, until I get some answers. “ If your still not feeling well I’ll put the hard top on.”
    “ Can you do that it will help me a lot”, he nodded.
    “ It will be a few minutes until I get it on”, he grabbed his bag off the ground. “ The hard top is in the garage.”
    “ Take all the time you want”, I looked at me. He touched my skin and I felt his worm hands on me, I closed my eyes to take it in. I opened my eyes and they there on high again and I shook my head, I moved over to the couch away from him. “ Sorry.”
    “ For what, your skin in still freezing. I know you want to see your mom and all”, I looked at him and he stopped what he was saying.
    “ I need to ask her something”, his eyebrow went up.
    “ What is something?”
    “ Its nothing, it’s a question for my mom not you. Please don’t take it personal”, he laughed.
    “ Its ok it’s a question for your mom”, I smiled at him. He moved to put his things in his room and went back outside.
    I could feel the sun setting and the air was getting colder, Kieren came in after taking a good thirteen minutes.
    “ He are you ready to go”, I didn’t want to go out in the sun. I had to kill some more time, I looked over at the X Box360.
    “ I’m getting better at Halo2, do you want to play me”, he grabbed his controller and sat next to me.
    “ Game on”, he put on a easy place to play. I ran around the corner and started to shout at him, he ran behind a big rock. I looked on his screen to see if I shout him, he was about to die if he doesn’t get heath soon. I started to run at the rock, he ran in a different direction. His heath build back up and kept on running, I started to shout ever now and then. I finely go to kill him after cycling the hole place, he looked shocked at how good I was becoming.
    “ How did you bet me”, I just looked at the TV.
    “ I played all day”, he touched my shoulder and was closing in. His face moved closer to mine and was about to kiss my lips, he stopped what he was doing then pulled away.
    “ Sorry……, its just you changed some how and its hard to stay away”, I blushed then looked away. He got up off the couch and walked over to the door, I could still feel the sun was up just a little. I needed to buy some more time, I walked over to Kieren. He was taking steps back keeping his distance, I walked closer and closer. He was agents the counter and had no where else to go, his eyes looked strong but scared at the same time. I pulled away and walked into the hall way, Kieren just looked at me and sighed.
    “ Do I scare you, you look so scared and hurt,” I said. He shook his head and walked over to me and took my hands in his.
    “ No, I just don’t know what your doing. One minute your keeping your distance next you trying to get as close as you can to me, I don’t get it at all”, nether did I but all I did was nod.
    “ I don’t get myself ether”, he let go of my hand and walked over to the door. “ Do you have a jacket and sunglasses.”
    “ Yeah there’s one on my bed and sunglasses are on my dresser”, I walked to the room and pulled the jacket on and the sunglasses on my face. Kieren already was outside getting the jeep started. As I walked out of the room and into the living room, Kieren’s heart was betting faster then before. Something was going on, I ran to the door to find Kieren in the jeep being held down by something more like a shadow. I ran over to the jeep and jumped, I flow into the air and next to Kieren in one heart bet. The shadow looked up and saw me then ran, Kieren had his set belt rapped around his throat. He was struggling for air, I pulled the set belt off and put him inside the house. I wanted to see my mom bad know, things are getting out of hand. Kieren was out cold, I laid him on the couch.
    “ I’m going to take your jeep, I’ll be back as soon as I can”, I whispered it into his ear. Seeing him on the couch made me hungry inside, I looked away and ran for the car. It started it fast and took off, I remembered the way to the hospital.

    I parked the jeep and walked inside, the lady at the desk welcomed me back. It was easy finding the room, my mom was sleeping or I thought she was. She was talking to someone, the voice was worm and familiar I lessoned into there conversation.
    “ It has begun, she changed over night. Until she gets enough blood in her she cant go into the sun, she my be half human but she also has pure vampire in her”, I froze that the words he was saying. Then something was pulling me in with one hand and the other over my mouth, the door shut and I turned to see my mom and some guy in all black. “ Its nice of you to join us in this conversation”, I looked at my mom that was in bed then at the guy. Then all my questions just slipped out.
    “ There’s something wrong with me, I cant go in the sun without getting hurt and when I look at someone I want to kill them on the spot”, my mom waved me over to her. She held my hand and looked at me, she was so calm.
    “ Its part of your new life that you have started, your father wants you now. He want you to be in control unlike some others, but it will be a long road you will be taking. These vampires are you guides, they work for you father”, I wanted to cry but nothing came out. “ But there is more, vampires are dieing and there only one cure. You are a wanted vampire around the world, but no one knows who you are they just now you’re a powerful vampire. They now your powerful because of the cent given off your body and how you look”, I looked down at what I had on and nothing looked different.
    “ Your father has been in a battle not to long ago and he is till healing, he know you would awake soon and he couldn’t come get you himself. So he cent his best vampires to get you and take you safely home, when you get a hold of yourself you can walk in the sun and come back and finish school”, I looked at the guy.
    “ Are there other vampires at the house or is it just my father and some ethers”, he didn’t say anything. The other vampire that pulled me in walked over to the other side, he had bond hair with gray eyes. He had a white shirt on and black pants, he had a trench caot on.
    “ There are lots in the house, they are close friends and family.”
    “ But aren’t all vampires are family”, he shook his head.
    “ No only people are changed by your father and people he has been with for the longer time are allowed”, my mother let go of my hand.
    “ You must go with them, they will make shore your safe for your father and me”, I nodded. I kissed my mother on the check.
    “ I will be back and tell Kieren if he’s looking for me to stop, tell him I’m moving”, she smiled.
    “ Wait what about my cloths”, my mother pointed to the corner where my cloths where still at.
    “ You only have a little time to get cloths and get out of the house, if not more vampires will smell you. And that’s not a good thing, you need to be in hiding still”, I grabbed bags with my cloths in it. “ Mark will be help you get into the car and get to the house, and don’t worry about the speed limits just go as fast as you can”, I nodded and ran outside. I was getting use to the hole running faster thing. I put my stuff in the back and started and pulled out of the parking lot as fast as I could, Mark was in the set next to me and the other was not with us.

    I was going over one hundred, it was scary knowing I was braking the law and there was no cop cars around to see it. But then again they may not be about to see us at all, the lights in the house where on. Mark was next to me when I jumped out of the car and ran to the house, the other guy was in my room packing my stuff. I pulled out another bag and started to put the more cloths in it, Mark was in my moms room looking for some of my dads older cloths, I guess we weren’t going to stop and stop for them. Everything I needed was packed in only three bags, I grabbed one Mark grabbed the other two and we ran down the stairs and got back into the car. Mark was in the drivers set this time, and the other was in the back sets with the cloths. Then something was in the street in front of us, Mark looked back at the other guy then looked back at the road.
    “ Hey, Chad I think we have company”, he looked at Mark.
    “ Don’t stop, just keep going”, I looked at them both.
    “ Wait you mean your going to run over”, we hit him straight on. He was under us and Marked stopped and backed up over him again, Chad jumped out of the back set. “ Stop Chad get in here just leave the dead vampire alone.”
    “ He has to get rid of the body so no other vampire will look for him, if they do they will take his blood and see what he was going after which was you. We have to so they wont look for you its part of are jobs right know”, I looked at the road. Its there job to protected me so no one will know I’m the cure to the vampires. Chad jumped in and Mark started to drive, Chad had white hair with green eyes. His jacket was blue and his shirt was black, he had a phone in his blue jeans as if some one would call him. Chad looked at me.
    “ He has been watched you almost every night, he was a lower rake vampire. He know he couldn’t hurt you”, Chad’s eyes had a little red in it.
    “ Your eyes there green”, he smiled.
    “ Yeah they changed, I had blue eyes but when I turned into a vampire and they turned gray the green”, I just looked at him. “ Your eyes are changing too they are more gold then brown now”, I turned to look in the mirror on the sun riser. He was right they are more gold then brown.
    “ Its ok, know you have your fathers eyes. But his is more yellow gold”, we have the same eyes. “ I think you need you last sleep until you are done.”
    “ What do you mean ‘your last sleep’.”
    “ It means your almost your full vampire self, its your last sleep you will have in your hole life time”, it was going to be my last night of sleeping. I closed my eyes and hope for the best, only because we need a lot of hope and luck.
