• The alarm clock rung right next to my ear, making me jump and hit my head on the bottom of the top bunk. I fell back and hit my head on the metal ladder. "Ow!" I said as I sat up slowly to avoid another painful hit. "Okay, no more setting the alarm on full volume." I reached over to look at the time and flew out of my room. When I was halfway down the stairs, I stopped to look at my self. I was still in my pajamas. "Aw man!" I raced back into my room, changed, and headed down stairs for breakfast. All I grabbed was toast and ate it as I ran to school.

    "Just in time!" I sighed as I slumped into my seat.

    "You got that right! The late Stella is for once on time." My friend leaned over from behind. She noticed a small bump on my forehead. "Did it again, huh?"

    "Oh shut up. What about you, Rose?"

    "I wasn't late. Unlike-"

    She was cut off by the teacher coming into the room at the moment, and saying "Alright settle down and get into your seats." Everyone obeyed and sat down. "We have a new student joining us today. Please welcome Shade Moah."

    At that moment, the boy named Shade walked in. When he turned to face the other students, he said, "Nice to meet you. I'll joining you from here on." He scanned the students as he talked, eventually, he stopped to gaze at someone. I got the feeling that I was the one being stared at. I looked behind to make sure, but Rose only shrugged. I turned back and saw that really was staring at me. I slid down in my seat and knew this was going to a long day.
