• Chapter 2
    Saya had stood in the clearing for a while after the guy had kissed her on the forehead. She saw the sun coming up and headed for home. She walked in the door and her foster mom came rushing up to her. " Where have you been Saya? We've been worried sick." She said giving her a quick hug. " No where." Saya muttered. Then her foster dad came in and he didn't look that happy. " Now Saya. Don't give us this, ' no whrere', crap anymore. We want the truth." He said putting his hands on his hips. " That's none of your buissness. I got to go to school, see ya." I grabbed my backpack by the door and ran out of there as fast as I could.
    It was one week till school ended and after that, Saya wouldn't have an excuse to get away from the house. She was in her last class when her best friend came and sat down beside her. Saya looked over at her friend Serina. Serina was human and didn't know about Saya. " Hey Saya! How are you today?" She gave Saya a goofy grin. " Good. How about you?" " Oh well, I heard that Danny is going out with Diana, but he's also going out with Harley and....." Saya tuned her out about right there. Serina could go on talking and not even notice Saya not listing. After the last class, Saya went home. She was all alone in the house, doing homework, when the doorbell rang. She put down her book and went out into the hall. She opened the door and saw the guy from the clearing standing there. He gave her a wave. She jerked him inside and said, " What are you doing here?" She said closing the door and locking it. " Well, to tell the truth, I couldn't stop thinking about you. So I followed your sent and here I am." He said giving her a sly smile. " What I ment was, what are you doing at my house?" " I just wanted to see you. Besides, I never got your name." He said looking her strait in the eye. " Saya. My name is Saya." She said looking down. " Well, my name is Jacob, but everybody calles me Jake." She galnced up and her was smiling at her. Just then the door started to unlock and she heard her foster dad's voice say," Saya? We're home." Saya and Jake froze.
