It was that time again. The time that was not yet so cold and harsh. A crisp clear Autumn morning, the leaves rustled with their bright and warm colors. It was a sight to truly behold, the kind that could take one's breath away. Lilith sat on the wooden bench, and gazed at the scenery before her, not really bothered by the fact that she was enjoying this alone. Rei offered to accompany her, but forgot she had a date with Weiss, so Lilith made her go. Sighing to herself, Lilith began to think how foolish she was to go to the park by herself. Although others may have enjoyed the Autumn for the idea that the leaves her changing colors, Lilith found herself enjoying the particular season for a far more complex reason than others would care to understand. Yes, Lilith loved how the leaves changed, but she found a certain color that always seemed to stand out to her. The red leaves were ones that drew her attention the most, for they always seemed to remind her of the man who inspired her love for the color red.
Shaking her head of any distractions Lilith glanced at her wristwatch for a brief second, then went back to her previous unfinished thought. Genesis Rhapsodos. The very mention of that man caused her heart to stand still. She was even amazed she could remember to breathe, everytime she was around him. She remembered how everything about him was so mesmorising and unforgetable. His face, his eyes, his lips, his chin, even his nose. But what stood out to her the most was his hair. It was incredibly lush, and rich, much like the soil of a fertile meadow, so many shades of warm colors made up the roots of his scalp. His hair was so thick she often had an urge to run her hands through it, tangle her fingers in it, admiring the very strong and healthy roots and strands. The color of his hair, was something that Lilith would never allow herself to forget; a light honey, auburn, scarlet autumn, coppery brown color. It was a very distinct but also very complex shade of red. As a child she would often love touching his glorious tresses. And instead of reprimanding her for it, Genesis would grin at her, giving a low chuckle of amusement.
The Autumn reminded her so much of him. Not too cold, but a little brisk, but also gentle with all the sweet soft breezes that would envelope her, causing her to shudder with enjoyment. He was exactly like the Autumn, and that was why she loved the season so much. Only to find that single shade of red that resembled the color of his hair, red with all its richness, and formality. The very shade of red that Lilith would love so dearly, because it always made her think of him. "Ready?" A male sultry voice surprised Lilith, making her jump, as she turned to see who it was. And of course it was the very man would made her heart cease and still all its movement. "Genesis," she breathed out softly, making him grin, "Who else Lilly?" She stood up, and craned her head upward to look him in the eyes. He was taller than her, she noted. Genesis made a grab for her hand, and led her to a grassy area. "Genesis what..." She was cut off, as he gave her a little peck on her lips. When he gazed at her, his grin grew, her face flushed, a light scarlet like the red leaves on the trees. "I feel like dancing," he announced, causing her breath to hitch, "Wh-what?" Genesis smirked at her deviously, "And no excuses, you promised you'd dance with me someday, and that day is today." He pulled her to him, as they waltzed
gracefully in a field of leaves, and grasses. "People are staring," Lilith stuttered
looking at some of the passers staring at them. "So," Genesis asked without a care. Genesis was never self-conscious, Lilith reminded herself. They twirled around so many times her head grew dizzy, she stumbled and could not keep up with him, and so they both accidently fell together on the ground.
He laughed and held onto her tightly refusing to let her get up. She looked at him and their eyes met. They shared a long meaningful look, and the look in his eyes told her to make the first move. And so she did. Leaning forward she confidently pressed her lips over his. It did not last long. She pulled away much to his chagrin, but that did not discourage him, in fact it drove him. "Don't you just love Autumn," he asked. Lilith smiled forgetting they were both still on the ground, "I do now... and I think I always have....but only if we'll do this again, and more than once." Genesis gave his trademark grin the one he would only reserve for Lilith.
