Chapter 4: He is always punctual
One day, I woke up rushed. Early but rushed. Miles had agreed to eat breakfast with me. Yesterday I told him that the part I hated most about mornings, were breakfast. To me it was a slowdown. I wasted time eating. I wasted time on something necessary. Therefore, Miles, as usual, thought it was not healthy for me to be constantly skipping breakfast.
-"But how can I be calm knowing that you're not responsible? You aren't that much of an independent person, Ky."- He scolded me.
-"Gee, now you notice?"- I opened my chemistry notebook and began to doodle in it completely ignoring what he was saying.
-"I mean seriously, do you even brush your teeth every morning like an 'independent' person would do?"- He asked with a grimace.
-"Eww! Of course I do. I wouldn't stand my morning breath."- He glared at me as if looking for some seriousness in my eyes.
-"Tomorrow, Morning's Cafe at six am. Be there."- He ordered. What a punishment.
-"Fine..."- I sighed.
-"Promise, Ky."-
-"Alright, I promise... sheesh."- He took a deep breath and walked away from my desk.
Moreover, here I am Morning's Cafe, 5:58 am. If there could be one quality I could say about Miles, it's that he's always punctual.
It really amazes me. He is always there, always. Now, he said six am. Let's hope he makes it here in time. I--
-"Hi, Ky."- Someone interrupted my train of thoughts. I turn my head and find Miles wearing that smile of his. I turn my wrist to check the time: Six o clock.
-"What? Checking time again? I'm always punctual."- He smirked. I wrapped my arms around my chest with a huff. He smiled and hugged me tightly. He gave me a light kiss on the forehead and I buried my face on his chest as I released an indecent yawn. Normal people would be preserved with these kinds of things but since this is Miles, I can act like a total idiot and still feel comfortable around him.
-"Why are you always so punctual?"- I asked while taking a nap on his chest.
-"I've got to keep up with my reputation. I've been waiting for twenty minutes behind that wall for the clock to strike six."- He chuckled quietly. He let go of me and pulled me into the cafe.
-"Hello. Welcome to Morning's Cafe. How may I be of your service?"- The kind, young woman asked from behind the counter. Miles abruptly pulled me forward to her and gave her a hearty smile.
-"Good morning, miss. My friend here has a 'negative' eating disorder and by that I mean she skips breakfast almost everyday."- He said pointing at me. I was leaning over him trying to push him down cautiously. For a person who is constantly yawning, he is strong.
Miles was always the kind to yawn. Even if he were in the middle of a marathon, he would still yawn. It is as if everything for him was easy. However, I asked him why he yawns so much. He just said he was tired. Tired of what? The only thing he does is sleep!
Anyway, I noticed how the cashier was hiding her laughter behind her hand. -"What would you suggest we do?"- She smiled a grin and then chuckled.
-"My sister's like that. She thinks breakfast is a waste of time."-
-"There's someone with a brain."- I mumbled from his back. Miles pushed my head against the back of his shoulder preventing me to talk.
-"My suggestions are: No energy drinks, just a fair breakfast, for a start. Since she is constantly skipping breakfast, it's best to hold off the caffeine. Go with something mild like juice or milk. If you choose milk, you should then add a fruit like an apple or an orange. Start with something soft yet strong enough to hold her."-
-"Hmm..."- Miles gazed at her tentatively. I noticed her face turned into a light pinkish color. -"Give me everything on the menu that fits exactly what you just said."- He said calmly, as if spending money was next to nothing for him.
With much surprise, the young woman began to work quickly. Miles and I sat down on the nearest table. Once my butt touched the chair, my head fell tiredly on top of the table.
-"I could see by your looks that you have something to say?"- He said as he wrapped his hands together on the table. -"What is it?"-
-"Are you rich or something Miles?"- I asked, not really wanting an answer. I was too tired unless Miles answer, if there was anything, took my attention.
-"No."- He said with a flat tone I raised my head and opened my mouth to talk but our order came out... no, the first two trays came out. Miles stood up and went to get them. When he came back, the first thing he handed me was the bagel. I munched out a small bite. Oh how I hate breakfast. I still do but with Miles constantly checking, it is somewhat hard to skip.
-"So if you're not rich... why did you spend money you don't have?"-
-"It's not that I don't have. I have, but it does not really make me rich. I mean, there goes my lunch money."-
-"Then why? Why do you do this?"-
-"Because, as long as I spend money on things for the better of you, it doesn't matter how much money I use."-
I was surprised but more then surprised I was sleepy. Though I am glad Miles is my friend. Despite the fact that he cares excessively about me, I still love him.
He -along with my grandma- has been the greatest beings in my life.

- Description: I personally think this is the most boring chapter of all of them but I needed to clarify she hates breakfeast and that Miles yawns a lot. They are very critical facts in the story. Leave comments!
