    ~ Chapter One- Breaking Free ~

    "Alright your shift" the guard said throwing him the keys. "Thanks" he replied catching them with both hands. "Have a good one" "I'll try" You hear his footsteps wonder away until it's replaced by the steel door slowly creaking shut. The new watchmen took his position in front of a humungous ball of ice. This ball of ice contained me and my older brother Kyosuke. We were captured by the Sefelin about, well i actually dont know how long ago. (Sefelin- fox, wolf or great wolf transformee. Live in the country of Sefelin and are known for being good with axes and bows) We were about to fulfill our mission when we were caught in this freezing ball of torture. Our mission was to terminate the Sefelin army general, the best, the fast, the one and only Silver. She is, lets say a fan of war, she actually caused the current one between my country (Kuran) and her country. (Sefelin)

    The guard started whistling way off key and leaned back. "Woah!" he tripped over his own feet and fell backwards. (Baka) His axe from his back pocket dug into the ice preventing him from falling. "Phew..." Crack... A crack formed from where his axe was. Crack, Crackle... More cracks appeared until they were all over the ice. BAM! With one final crack, the iceball shattered creating a shower of sparkling ice chiplets.

    "Uh!" i fell from the air and onto the ground. Seconds later my brother kneeled beside me. He shook me and said quickly "Jayden, get up" "Kyo......suke?" He nodded his expression serious but with a glint of worry in his eyes. I blinked a few times my eyes adjusting to the light. I sat up and looked around taking all of this in. "Hey!" a voice yelled. We turned our heads to see a Sefelin knight, well, at least i think it was. "Is that a Sefelin?"i asked. "I think so" "But the armor's different" "That may be so but you can still tell becuase of the ears and tail" he told me his eyes not leaving the knight. I nodded and started to get up. "You wont escape!' the knight yelled charging towards me with his axe out in front of him. I stared fearfully at him clutching my chest not knowing what else to do. Kyosuke clenched his teeth and dashed in front of me, his dark blue hair smacking me in the face. The knight kept right on going, but didnt transform which was odd. Probably over confident. Kyosuke jumped up in a front flip and kicked the knight smack in the mddle of his chest armor. The Sefelin flew back going threw the wall and out of veiw. I assumed he was dead because i couldnt sense a pulse anymore.

    Kyosuke turned around and glared at me. "What the hell is wrong with you!?" he yelled. I stared at him startled. "W-What?" "You just stood there! Do you want to be killed!?" "N-No" i replied softly avoiding his gaze. "Then use your head and fight!" "I'll....try...." I whisper. He gave me a funny look. "Well look who we have here, you've finally escaped after all these years" a voice said from outside the room. Kyosuke frowned. "Silver" "Very good" she said as she walked threw the already open door. I could tell she was excited because her tail kept swishing back and forth. Kyosuke blushed alittle but I wouldn't blame him. Silver had white hort hair, red eyes and a sleeveless red with black outlined dress that showed some clevage. (the kind that ninja's wear you know?) She had amtured since the lats time we had seen her. "Kyosuke, Jayden so nice to see you two again" she smiled. "We'll complete our mission this time" he said clenching his fist beside him. Silver smircked. She crouched down and was suddenly on all fours. "Oh really!?" she snarled taking a step forard. Kyosuke smiled taking out a silver dagger from his belt. "Really"

    I looked from Silver, now a giant silver great wolf, to my brother eyes now blood red from excitment. (greatwolf- the most powerfkl type of Sefelin) "Scared?" Kyosuke asked smartly. Silver growled and darted forward. I squeezed my eyes shut and then screamed "NO!!!" Then i grabbed Kyosuke's arm pulling him out og the way. Silver flew past us then skidded to a stop. I started running dragging my brother with me. I could hear the ground thump as Silver chased after us. "Jayden stop what are you doing!?"" he yelled trying to escape my grasp. "We have to get out of here!" i yelled franticly not letting go off his arm. "What!?" he said pulling free. I closed my eyes and clenched my teeth feeling alittle hurt that he didnt trust my judgement. "Our mission was to kill HER!" he yelled pointing back to Silver.. "We can;t win right now!" i yelled back glaring at him. He glared back. "How do y-" "Look we don't know how long we were in that ice thing! The SMART thing to do would be to go back to Kuran and sort this all out! Use your head!' I say imitating him at the last part. (Kuran- a vampire or shape shifter who live in Kuran. Good with daggers, knives and swords)

    Silver stopped and laughed hystericly. "Kuran!? Ha! A nice suprize will be waiting for you once you arrive heheh!" Kyosuke frowned and then turned turned around still not stopping running. He quickly grabbed one of his daggers in the same movement and threw it at Silver. It was so fast you couldn't even see it in the air. Suddenly Silver let out a wail and blood started pouring from her big black nose where Kyosuke's dagger had contacted her. He turned back around and we started running again. "Maybe that'll shut her up" he smiling at me.

    I laughed then obliterated the incoming wall with Hakari, my special, one of a kind vampire ability. It comes in handy^^ "That's what im talking about" Kuosuke breathed. I laughed again destroying one last wall in the way of our freedom. A fresh breeze blew threw my dark blue almost black hair. "That feels nice..." i thought outloud. We kept running till we reached the border with our homeland, Kuran, home of vampire's and shapeshifters. I flew acrosst it not caring about the tree branches smacking my face. Our country started coming into veiw, that's when i stopped dead.... [End of chapter one]
