• Preface

    As i entered the hospital with my friends, i realised why we were here. the day had come. i had erupted and as my water like fluids hit the floor, i felt the pain of labor. i didnt know what exactly was going to happen, but as my partner,Trevor, had told the doctor they were on the way, i was terrified. i didnt know what to do. i turned to misty and then to trevor and said with a hint of pain "i need a C section.....tell the doctors. I cant birth these babies normal birth!" and as i was rushed into surgery, i knew, one twin was gone. she lay motionless in my womb. I had lost her. as the doctors removed my first baby, i cried. then i heard crying and believed maybe my baby was alive! as they lay my first baby on a weighing table, the doctors took out the second baby, but then the doctors gasped. they walked over to me and handed me the beautiful baby. she cried, and then i realised something. she was dying. she had the marks of heavy lucimia, and she would die within the next 48 hours. they took her from me. then they handed me the beautiful little girl that was the first born. i cried as i held her and whispered a short prayer for her sister."there names. this one is Meeganna. our other beautiful daughter should be lillanna. are you ok with that?" and right as trevor went to reply, the doctors came out with lillanna."we are sorry for your loss, Kri and Trevor." they said as they handed the dead body of lillanna to trevor, and he cried. i began to cry as they moved me into another room and trevor walked beside me with lillannas body in his arms as if she was healthy. when we got to the room, trevor whispered something, and i heard the last words , "lillanna, you are a beautiful little girl, youll be with us forever." and he began to cry more."trevor, we will have her cremated and well turn the ashes into a crystal, and meeganna can wear it. shell have her sister with her wherever she goes" and i cried as i rocked meeganna to sleep and lay her down in her crib in our room at the hospital. the phone began to ring and i answered and the nurse asked "do you want us to come and get the body and have it cremated for you?" and i replied with a hint of sorrow"sure, and send our friends up please" and then i lay down and drifted to sleep. trevor greeted all of our friends and as i sleep they were very kind and they left.

    Chapter 1
    Me and trevor lay there, waiting for our alarm clock to go off. we hear tate and korrinaa playing guitar and we get up and turn our alarm clock off. i walk into their room" hey you two its too early for this. meeganna is sleeping. wait til later please" and then i walked out and someone knocked on the door. I answer the door, and it was misty!"hey! did u get the ashes put into a crystal yet?" looking excitedly at her purse."of course!" and she handed me a small box."can you believe its been 6 years?" i asked and realised that my beautiful 6 year old had woke up."hi sweetie!" i said as she walked up to me and cried. she had never really liked when i brought her sister up to anyone. "here sweetheart" misty said as she took the box from my pocket and handed it to Meeganna"its your sister. she can be with you forever now"misty said as she hugged the six year old and held her close." do you mind if i hang out with you, Meeganna?" misty asked the little girl."of course, aunt misty!" and meeganna ran and got her sisters baby blanket and her baby blanket."you can be my twin!" meeganna said in a small voice. then, wearing the same hoodie and outfit he wore all the time, tate walked out of his room with a glowstick in his mouth and his cat hoodie on."sup people?" he asked as he checked misty out."sup cutie?" and he nodded to her and went to cook some eggs. then i looked down at my hand, and there, lillanna grasped my hand. it was really her! it might have been me, but i saw her, plain as day. then her sister peeked out of her bedroom door and motioned for lillanna to go play with her."misty! the crystal holds her spirit!" she said, joyously."you have got to be kidding me, kri. she died 6 years ago i think its time you let her go!" misty said as she rolled her eyes. "what the heck misty?" i asked."why would you think i could just forget one of my own genetics?"."because with me, kids come and go like a heartbeat. we birth them, we raise them, and we lose them" Misty said, showing one of her fangs in a smile."oh yeah.....i forgot"i said. then i saw lillanna and meeganna run out of meegannas room and run out the back door. then korrinna came out of her room. "hey misty!" korrinaa ran over to us and hugged misty."hows the clan?" she asked misty and misty replied"fine, thanks!" and misty looked down at korrinaa's stomach."oh, you and tate are together?" misty asked and korrinaa replied"OH NO! hes my brother, i am pregnant with miekah!" and korrinaa giggled."hey, you know you and tate should get together!"i said to misty with a faint look. truth is i hadent had my period this month, and it was bothering me. "hey guys watch meeganna, im going to the store." and i drove to the local market. i went to the female care section and bought a pregnancy test. as i drove home i was thinking about the consequences of if i was pregnant. i cant take another loss.when i finally got home, i went to the restroom. those were the two minutes of shame, waiting for the little positive symbol on the peice of plastic. when the symbol appeared, i got a huge shock! i wasnt pregnant!"thank god" i said. i went and sat on the couch and the girls, lillanna and meeganna came up and sat on either side of me. lillanna was a bit transparent and couldnt talk, thats how i knew she was a ghost. "mommy? lillanna says she misses you and cant wait for us to join her in heaven"meeganna said."lillanna, shes not real, shes a ghost, what she says is all a fragment of our imagination" i said, worried about my daughter. she had been acting like this ever since the other day when we gave her the neckless. i wanted to believe as much as she did, but i knew it wasnt true. as i tucked meeganna in for bed, i kiss her forehead and we recite gods prayer. "our father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy nam, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven, give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our tresspasses, as we forgive those who tresspassed against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, for thine has the kingdom, the power, and the glory forever, amen"and i looked at her and smiled as she lay in her bed sound asleep. i looked out the window and tates car was gone. where would he be at this time of night at the age of 16? i went to tate and korrinna's room and tate wasnt there but korrinna was sound asleep.i walked to my room and saw trevor laying there, watching television. "im going to bed, so please shut the T.V. off" and i started to doze off. then lillanna appeared in the doorway. she was crying. all i heard at that moment was a soft and meek voice."mommy..........dont let me go........save me........." and i screamed as the alarm clock went off."sweetie whats wrong?" trevor asked. i looked at the clock and saw that it was 6 in the morning. i heard the front door close, and i got up and went into the kitchen to get a cup of coffee when i saw tate laying there on the couch. "where have you been?" i asked in a motherly tone." i was with misty. she asked me to come over." he said, in a calm voice as if he did this on a regular basis. "you know your mom didnt make me your god mother to let you go off and do what you want!" i said, very mad at this point."im sorry! i really like her!" tate yelled at me and ran into his room and slammed the door. i sat there hoping that meeganna wouldnt wake, and she didnt. but standing right next to me was lillanna, and i went to pick her up and hold her, but my arms went throug her like she was thin air. "lillanna, i wont hurt you, i promise" and i picked her up and rocked her back and forth. for a spirit, she was quite heavy. i dont know if she was doing it, or that was just how it was. i rocked her and as i did i prayed"now i lay you down to sleep,i prey the lord your soul to keep, and if you leave before i wake, i prey the lord your soul to take" and i lay her by her sister.

    Chapter 2

    "one year older, and no years younger!" i said as i brought the girls cake out from the kitchen. people began to believe me about lillannas spirit. she had aged just as they did. she even learned sign language. then right after the girls blew the candles out, tate walked in and slammed the door."tate mathue! where have you been? i had the cops looking for you everywhere! you have been gone for a YEAR!"i yelled and ran to tate and pulled him into the next room."where have you been?" i asked."is it any of your concern?" tate asked and went to korrinnas room where her and her baby were sound asleep.i felt like i was being used. i went back to the twins and gave them their presents.i got them matching twin necklaces. they put them on and ran off. the girls came out with their pixie costumes on and jumped on the furniture."alright girls its time to go to aunt catherins!" i said as their aunt came to the door and got them to stay with her for the weekend. after the girls left, misty came to the door."hi kri, can i see tate?"she asked."no tates grounded sweetie, can i take a message?" i asked."yeah. tell him it was positive" and she walked to her car, got in, and drove off. i knew what this ment. tate and her were intimate. i had no intentions of telling him or letting him around misty anymore. "tate, misty doesnt want to see you anymore''i told him at the dinner table that evening as he began to eat his potatoes."well, im going to call her and try to say sorry"tate said and i became part of a huge lye."she got her phone turned off" i said,trying to cover my lie."well ill go over there" he said, arms crossed."shes with her baby daddy" i said quickly."well,im going to go there and wait for her then!" he said, obviously ticked off."tate, just stay here. its best if u leave her alone." i said with a hint of guilt. i had ended their once perfect relationship. i ended something that could have started a new era!"just leave me alone kri!" tate yelled as he wandered off into his room. i walked out the front door and into the backyard. as i went to go in the garage, i saw a shadow, then it swarmed around me and it went black. an hour later i woke up in a hospital room, and i heard crying. i felt a sharp pain in my stomach. then the doctors brought a baby to me. the baby had the brains drilled out and it was still crying! i realised this was lillanna. "why are you doing this to me?" i screamed and then i was woke by korrinaa."kri, wake up!" she yelled.i finally woke up and looked at her. "where are the girls?" i asked. "they are asleep in their bed." she said as she helped me up. i had a major headache.as soon as i got in i grabbed a sandwhich,ate it, and went to bed. i was too scared to dream. i woke up the next morning to blood all over the bed. i had realised something. I was pregnant!"trevor, wake up!" i screamed, but he wouldnt wake, so i ran to the car and drove to the hospital. i ran to the nurse with blood dripping everywhere. they rushed me into surgery. when they pulled the baby out, i heard feitn crying. the doctors rushed the baby over to the weighing table, and i realised that this was a rerun. I was losing another child! i couldnt let this happen, not again. i asked the doctor if the baby would make it, and in a nice voice he replied "of course! theres nothing wrong with him" and i lay back down gently."i will name him nakito" i told the doctors as they gave me the little baby. i realised something at that moment. he had taken warewolf form because he had ears and a tail! i smiled as i carry this tiny infant to my car. i lay him in his sisters old carriage. i drove home and walked in the door with the carrier."oh thank god you brought that in, i have to throw it away"trevor said as he took the carrier."stop!" i screamed at him and i ran over and grabbed nakito out of the carrier."what is that?" trevor asked, shocked."its our sun, nakito" i said in a motherly tone."you never told me we had another on the way!"trevor said, obviously annoyed at the fact we had another child."i cant believe your tone! you act like you dont like him because he is a were?"i yelled at trevor, because he was throwing a fit that our son had the ears and a tail of a cat, and growing fur."its not that! its the fact that you didnt tell me and he doesnt look like either of us!" trevor yelled at me and went to our room and slammed the door. i felt half responsible for the damage done to our family. if i wouldnt have decided to have kids at such a young age, this wouldnt have happened. sometimes i wonder if he even cares about the kids. hes always gone at work or with his pals at the bar and he comes home late drunk. he even wakes the kids sometimes. im really starting to worry about our relationship, and if hes gonna want a divorce, or if i will get to the point where i cant stand him anymore. i dont want to take the childrens father away from them. if worst comes to worst, then i will. "do you think its just him?" misty asked me, wondering what his problem was exactly.
