Hand in Hand
You and I, sitting here drinking coffee,
I never knew you would overwhelm me just by going on your knee.
You take my hands in yours, and ask the question,
I say no, so you leave, but then I take a moment
What will it be like?
What would it be like?
You and me, sitting by the beach
Hand in hand,
You whisper words of charm,
They sent my heart thumping,
Your warm hand on my face
As we bring our faces together
And enter our space in a kiss
Hand in hand
What will it be like?
During the wedding
Hand in hand
We become the envy of the town
Mother is crying
Father is beaming
And you smile at me sweetly
As I walk towards you and join
Hand in hand
What will it be like?
After marriage, we start a family,
Hand in hand
A daughter who helps me with the chorus
And a son who looks just like you,
Who will follow you in your footsteps,
And help you around
We look at our most prize positions
Hand in hand.
what will it be like?
Our children grow up,
We watch hand in hand,
Our last child married
And left us alone again
Where we can fall in love
All over again,
At the beach together
Hand on face
Hand in hand
I realized what it will be like,
Being hand in hand,
So I run after you in the rain
Tears fall down my face
You take your coat off
And give it to me so I don’t get a cold.
I tell you to take my heart,
And you do so as we walk home
Toward our future
Hand in hand.

Description:
I saw a movie, and it made tons of pictures go into my head (That is my dylexia, or my visual learning style) so i decided to write down the pictures(which i am going to try to do from now on). This poem does not tell you what the movie is about, it goes another way.
