• All you could do was watch them
10 feet away was the one person you could see yourself with
    Swapping spit with someone else
And it's not as if he was yours
Not as if he ever wanted you
    He couldn't, you knew that
It was burned in the back of your mind
Screaming at you when you sleep
Stabbing you whenever you touched him

You knew he didn't like women
Knew that he had his eyes on someone else
    And yet, here you are
    Both shocked and betrayed
And yo have no one to blame but yourself

Like a slap to the face
the hands were big and cold
    his hands

    he couldn't see you
    behind the corner, spying
so you used this chance to walk away
walk out of the building and to your car
    driving
no where to go and nothing to do
    driving faster
    not paying attention
    not watching the street
    driving faster

and when the roads began to twist
    you remained straight
    looking dead forward
    and never back
all you could see was him in the distance
and your poor efforts to reach him
    and before you knew it
    everything stopped
    time
    your heart
    the car
a sharp pain went through your body
    and everything went dark
you could hear his voice, over and over
but you couldn't see him or feel him
you could only sit there, screaming into the void
waiting for someone to hear you
and praying it would be him
