• On the Subject of religion-
    I, personally, believe that religion's aren't safe.
    They have caused, and continue to cause, most of the world's conflicts, and also breed arrogance, which causes the rest of them.

    Think for a moment-
    The Crusades, which caused the deaths of many innocent people-Those were caused by the Christians.

    9/11/1865-A group of Mormons under the command of a corrupt leader exterminate a wagon train of western-bound settlers simply because the leader wrongly suspected them of killing an important Mormon leader.

    9/11/2001. Another religion gone bad. This time, it was the Muslims.

    The war in the Middle East, the one that has been going on for somewhere around 2,000 years-two opposing religions needlessly slaying each other.

    Those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head. And I don't research such things, because I don't feel it would be worth my time anyway.

    Now, on the subject of war-
    When it comes to being on the level of groups as large as countries and religions, what doesn't kill one only makes one stronger.

    I believe this goes for all war.

    But that doesn't absolve religions from everything else they've done wrong. Child molesting priests, corrupting governments and common people (the recent recall of Prop. 8 being a very good example), using books that could be written just as likely by some prankster with too much time and resources on their hands as some holy savior or what have you, as a cover for their own greed.

    But enough of religion.
    Let us move on to other subjects.
    I shall open with a simple, factual statement.

    Anyone who does not believe in U.F.O.'s (the literal meaning of the acronym) is a fool, and quite frankly should be shot.
    If you disagree with this statement, re-read the acronym and think about what it really means.
    If you no someone who does not, and need ammunition, visit your local Wal-Mart or shooting range. I'm sure they have plenty.

    Now, that's not to say that I believe there's a 0% chance that there is live elsewhere in the universe.
    A recent estimation put the number of stars (not planets, stars) in the universe to be 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000. Don't ask me how to pronounce that number, I'm not sure.

    I disagree with that estimation. I believe the number of stars in the universe is infinite.

    After all, the universe doesn't seem to logically have an end-if there is some cosmic line, what's on the other side? "Nothing"? Impossible. There is no such thing as "nothing".

    Moving on.
    On the subject of the 2nd amendment of the Constitution of the United States of America-
    I'm having a hard time comprehending that somehow a woman found beaten, raped, strangled, and slashed to death in an alley is morally higher than a woman who now must explain to police how her attackers got that mysterious fatal bullet wound.

    I believe the 2nd amendment is one of the few failsafe defenses citizens have against the government. Perhaps it was put into the Constitution as a the government's way of saying "Here's a gun. Shoot us if we screw up too badly."

    I believe that man should not attempt to completely exterminate war and violence and conflict from the face of the Earth or any other planet we may inhabit. [insert Fallout III quote here]
    I would rather live in a world enveloped in chaos than a world controlled by the iron hand of the government.

    After all, at least chaos is entertaining.

    I would rather live in a world where everyone walked around with enough firepower to support a small war than a world where everyone walked around at the mercy of the few people who did.

    Reworded-
    War will never be completely erased.

    Assume 99.99% of the world destroys all weapons and unlearns all means of killing and destruction. They would be killed by the .01% that didn't.

I may not be the kindest man in the world (yes, as established, I am a male), but I do value conversation, as I don't get much, and I'm always up for a good argument-after all, unless the argument kills me, it can really only make me stronger (unless it makes me braindead or something of the like).
