The silence as the song starts,
so painful and deadly
the wondering eyes,
looking so eagerly
Like a magnet,
they find you immediately
as you look,
no sadness lies
behind those eyes
The smile hiding the lie
knowing you've already let go,
She still holds on.
The pain clear on her face
The silence as they dance
deadly as one laughs,
the other burst into tears
inside the soul
looking questioningly
at those bright eyes
As their song comes to a close,
they embrace in one last hug
tears gather,
still unshed,
never wanting to let go,
but knowing it has to end
Quietly they bow their heads,
as a prayer is said.
looking into the others eyes,
waiting for words to compromise,
Silently,
the words pass their lips,
full of longing and dispair
quickly she turns,
hiding her fears,
and walks into the crowd,
intent of leaving without sound.
quietly she walks,
ignoring those who talk
trying not to cry,
walking she sees
out of the corner of her eye,
sitting in the chair,
by the door and grinning.
slightly she starts to cry,
quickly composing herself,
for the silent ride home.
laying in her bed,
gasping and throbbing,
the tears fall down her face.
