Buried in some antique land
My soul a’wanders, longing still
To be able to touch with balmy hand
And look until it’s had its fill.
To walk among the ancient things
And hear the languages long since dead,
To feel the heat the high day brings
And to walk the ways, once titan tread.
This longing beats fiercely within me,
A fire burning that leads me on.
This longing endeavors to be set free,
The fire strives to see the dawn.
One day I will find this land,
One day I shall touch it’s sand.

Description:
This is a Shakespearian Sonnet I wrote in my free time.
It follows proper form and meter, and I guess I worked super hard on it ^_^;;
It's more or less inspired by my longing to travel to certain places. - Date: 07/30/2008

- xD As I read it I thought "This sounds like a sonnet..." So kudos, I guess xD It was lovely and a bit hard hitting for me. Travel is something I can relate to and Im always filled with passion for distant lands.
