One cloudy night in Autumn as a storm began to call,
Staring out their windows came gasps of total awe,
A crisp Fall breeze then tingled the skin,
While warmth and light tingled within,
With energy and bliss came a smiling man,
No sword, nor dagger, but a lute in his hand,
Though rain pounded relentlessly onto the ground,
And the house cluttered and crowded the town,
And although it sounds impossibly absurd,
The young bard’s music 'twas heard,
This gentle music like a bubbling stream,
Or a beautiful, wonderful incredible dream,
These careful clear notes of an unknown tune,
Brought forth memories of that year’s June,
How summer had passed with glories and glees,
Brought next the thoughts of bad memories,
But those quickly passed as if to say:
“Look to the sky, ‘Tis light of day!”
And although each clock had just struck midnight,
Outside ‘twas a clear golden morning light,
Hazily children looked to their clocks,
Which truthfully spoke with their ticks and their tocks,
And then a blistering silence fell,
The buzzing of cicadas began to swell,
A murmur of whispers began to arise,
The golden light disappeared before their eyes,
No sunset, no bright orange sight,
But the the blowing out of a lamplight,
Time seemed to speed, leaves rained from the trees,
Just to be blown by a bitter cold breeze,
Washed away into the distance,
The entire town baring witness
Frost covered brown grass, time slowed,
Another breeze blew, and thus it snowed

- Wow. That's great. It sparked my imagination. I could see everything going on in my head and the rhyming made it fun to read. Good job! 5/5
