A river flows on in a valley
As it beats down into a lake, it creates a new landscape
Trees now stand all around it
Tall grasses, weeds and wildlife
Not a person to be seen about
A path was long forgotten
Yet when a wind brings through a voice
Not a thing changes
This voice now suddenly has a face
Though not of any man
A spirit of the Earth drinks through the river
A blinding light shines through the clouds
Now this valley full of life vanishes
A city now lies where it was once peaceful
Time has been going by fast, but still a spirit lives
Within the water the past is ever flowing
Though times may change, some things never go away
