• He hits her hard across the floor,
    She cries and screams,
    He slams the door.
    She bleeds heavy and steady,
    He walks away.
    She lies about the bruises,
    The scars and she prays.
    "Dear God, let this be,
    The end of this feeling.
    I feel so empty,
    There's nothing left."
And he comes home to her making him dinner,
    Whatever she does,
    It's just never enough.
    At night in the bathroom
    She covers her scars.
    She hangs her head,
    She crosses her arms.
    He screams at her
    From outside the door.
    She weakly comes out,
    And he hurts her more.
Never thought she'd be so used,
    Just goes to show,
    Love's not abuse.
