They've stormed beaches
They've fought in trenches
They've skirmished in deserts
And fought in urban cities as well
They've even gone through absolute hell
And lived to tell the tale
These brave souls do a service no one can repay
But we should never forget
These courageous men and women of the U.S. Military
Those who journey into the storm and don't return
Made a decision that required courage beyond measure
They are our fallen comrades
And heroes too, even in their graves
Salute them and all who serve
We owe them a debt we'll never be able to pay
