Before the incessant ticking
Of the timeless clock
The darkness pervades
The silence
The walls are laid bare
The windows are overcome
The door fades away
The light is extinguished
Despair rules
But there is freedom
Freedom in the darkness where
No one can see
Lost in our own worlds
There is hope
Even though the freedom
Is an illusion
We are all bound in
This lightless room
Searching
Searching for a way
Stumbling in the dark
We will never find
Forced to make our own way
Our own fate
Forced to conjure our own truth
And believe our own lies

Description:
I wrote this in apporximately 15-30 minutes after a calculus quiz.
the clock in that room ticks very loudly.
it's especially annoying when everything else in the room is completely silent. - Date: 12/20/2008
