-
My shoulder hurts.
As in, really hurts.
As in, Good Lord in Heaven, ow--
And I'm not even religious.
I want to swear
Really, really badly.
I can feel the words
Clawing at my throat,
Painfully clawing,
Bursting--!
And then, nothing.
I feel nothing.
I feel nothing but the damp,
And the relief,
And the pale anxiety to return
Home.
I'll be home in one half-hour.
Home--
A little less warm,
A little more damp,
And a little more safe without the darkness.
I'll be home.

- Title: I'll Be Home
- Artist: Drey Carter
- Description: The bus was half and hour late, I was soaked because of the rain, and I was miserable. This is what I experienced. Yes, it seems dramatic, but it had been a sucky day, I had to go to school when I was sick to return a book, and I was in a self-pitying mood.
