The young lady sat daydreaming
On her porch swing.
She dreamed of what will come, of what will happen,
Of what she will be, where she will go,
And of whom she will love.
The old woman sat on her rocking chair
Daydreaming and recalling her past.
Remembering what did come, of what did happen,
Of what she was, where she had been,
And whom she loved.
The old woman’s memories are the
Young woman’s dreams
And the young woman’s dreams
Are the old woman’s memories.
For while young women dream
And old women their recall memories,
They both, for a time escape
From the present.

- Description: I have a whole notebook full of my poems and for some strange reason I can't find them! Well this is the only one I remember off the top of my head! I wrote this while I was daydreaming one day. I like it and I hope you will like it too!
