My life is a current
It started as a spring
Flowing quickly down the mountain's edge
At first so freely
Nothing could get in my way
But the path soon grew wider
I came across obstacles
I could not overcome alone
Troubles grew
I was lost in the rapids
But as a bright light shone
I gripped the Rock that never dies..
Helping me through these obstacles
Sometimes I swim far away
Away from the Rock
Turning back to the mountain
I lead myself right into a waterfall
But the Rock finds me
I grasp this Rock
Climb upon it
Breathing new air
One day
One faithful day
In a sunset sky
I'll dump the debris
And leave it all behind
And the Rock will be waiting
Waiting for me
In my ocean

Description:
This poem talks about how my life is like a river. At first, I thought I was headstrong, and nothing could stop me. Then, I realized I needed a Savior. Jesus is called "the Rock that never dies" in my poem. I make a lot of mistakes as well. The end is referring to leaving sin behind me, and the ocean represents Heaven.
