I live in the thrift shops
and hilltops,
Where you can almost see the wildflowers
peeking between the cracks of the concrete under water-towers.
My bible is the word of a man on the radio named Howard
who speaks loud and mighty because inside he's a real coward.
I'm an everyday American,
a freedom-loving seraphim,
a poster child for peace, love and heroin
and I'm your very favorite carnal sin.
I'm a modern atomic man,
with a modern atomic plan,
and just like everyone I've ever seen,
I don't even know what modern and atomic mean,
nor can I pronounce them,
but if anyone brings that part up I'll pounce them.
I practice peace and love for anyone
(unless they're Black, Asian or Latino, because what good are they to anyone?)
I'm your regular ignoramus,
no, I'm not dumb enough to be famous,
but I'm not smart enough to try using my brain,
so I guess I'll just keep on perpetuating the species in vain.

Description:
THIS IS A PIECE OF SATIRE, AND THEREFORE IT DOES NOT REFLECT MY REAL OUTLOOK ON LIFE. It was written to make fun of the "Modern Atomic Man," not to express a real-life view.
That said, I hope you enjoy. - Date: 04/05/2009
