He watches
Watches as her life slowly ebbs away
Knowing that she will never again see day
Knowing that he made her feel this way
He hears
Hears what this girl has to say
Knowing that it will make him turn away
Knowing that he made her feel this way
She whispers
Whispers 'Don't feel sad for me.
Know that this was meant to be.
Know that we weren't meant to be.'
He feels
Feels tears rolling down his face
Knowing no one could take her place
Knowing her family he cannot face
He touches
Touches her chest, just to see
If what he ripped out could really be
Still weakly thumping, or if it had ceased to be
She smiles
Smiles as her heart feels his palms
She closes her eyes, and even though she harms
She just dies right in his arms

Description:
This poem is about a boy ripping a girl's heart out (metaphorically) and without it, her life slowly ebbs away in front of his face.
I wrote this because this is what it feels like for me. Please comment - Date: 04/21/2009

- This is an incredibly detailed, and realistic in an awful way. So visual. I dont think there is a better poem here.
