"O, how my sweet and gentle Laura had died!
Unknown to her,
that witch of the dark had kept her secrets,
and cursed the very ground from which she walked!
If only I'd seen her sooner...
for her presence, a mystery, haunted my dreams,
kept me from the light,
and postponed all doubt of her devilry from my mind.
...but how pale she looked, my Laura!
After her encounter in the wood,
amidst the scratches and the scars , I'd found her.
Cold and alone.
...so I buried her, my only child,
behind the stables near her favorite horse.
And after that frozen day, did my happiness cease.
My words, as black as the wound which encompassed my heart.
Illusions...
hallucinations took to form around me,
and for god I could swear that I'd seen her!
As slowly my sanity as well disappeared...
and from my misery did she begin to appear,
to haunt me until the end of my days."
