It wilted away within me
The fire of my blood.
Passion faded as my petals returned
To Mother Earth.
It wilted away within me
All the life that could stand.
My heart has burned out as my whole body returns
To Mother Earth.
Though I could easily live
To see another day
I let the hope slip away
My body is alive, my soul is dead.
Though I could easily live
To see another day
I would let the sun slip away
My soul is alive as my body is dying.
Is this what I've always wanted?
A life of comdemnation
They don't believe that I exist
I don't even know if they want to.
Is this what I've always dreamed of?
A life of damnation
They don't believe my dreams exist
I don't even know if I want to.
Though my life is a nightmare
I see the star in the dark,
Maybe I'll get lucky
And one will grant my wish tonight.
Though my life is a nightmare
I see no stars, not even a moon.
Maybe I'll get lucky
And there'll be one for me, too.
I'll never live
I'll never die
I'll die hard tonight
And tomorrow I'll live harder.

- Title: Black Roses Die Hard (1)
- Artist: Tomboy_In_The_Corset
- Description: On another account I have elsewhere, this is a poem that got on the top rated/most popular list, another I'm quite proud of~ I couldn't finish the title, it's called "Black Roses Die Hard, Blue Roses Live Harder." I got inspired when everyone says how sad black roses die, but blue roses have to live on being extremely beautiful but no one believes in them. :( I also have another version, "Red Roses Live Harder" which I may post.

- Took me a moment to realize it makes sense by seperating the different colours, but it was a really interesting read either way. I really like poems that don't utilize a rhyming scheme, mainly 'cause I can never rhyme myself, but this one is a cut above.
