Foolish sitting in my tree. Till one day a stranger came. He came and said to me:
"Give me your wings,
your heart, your flight,
and then I will give you this box of delight."
He held out a box,
all covered with vain.
Who knew such trinkets
could cause so much pain?
But of course I agreed,
I was blinded by lust,
to know what's inside,
believing his trust.
When the deal was done,
I opened my treasure,
to find nothing at all,
but one soul feather.
"But why?," I said to him,
"Because," he said to me,
"You traded all for nothing,
this t'waze all I gave to thee."
And so I lost my center,
All in wich was me.
And as the stranger left,
he left nothing but my tree.
And so I quote to you,
this tale of true demise.
One moral of understanding.
A story on the rise.
Heed this as a warning.
Do not give yourself.
You're one and only person,
not a trinket for a shelf.
But if you do decide,
to ignore this plea from me,
just know perhaps that stranger,
will go walking near your tree.
