-
Under the moonlight,
I see her face.
A beauty so rare,
A lady so tame.
She casts no shadow,
She leaves no mark.
It's almost as if she is floating,
Above...
Then I realize who she is,
My old dear friend.
She watches me roam around her,
Not believing my eyes,
'I thought you were dead?'
I said with a cry...
All she did was smile,
And wave me good bye,
As her body had lifted,
Up to the sky.
I remember that day,
By that very same tree...
She had been hung,
Just to save me....
