His greedy hands reach,
and eagerly beckons each.
But how many of them can turn away?
This evil shade that hides the day.
To each his own can try to claim,
that never has the honey ignite the flame.
Burn it strongly in each one's heart,
that it is so hard to bear to part.
Have we not all been in shame?
But who is the one that we must put to blame?

"This evil shade that hides the day."
Exquisite line - which is just as exquisite as the rest of the poem.
BUT for me the very few grammatical errors brought it down a smidgen.
