I lay on the ground in a puddle of tears
I'm hiding my face, my eyes make-up smeared
You kneel down beside me and ask me what's wrong
I don't make a sound, I've cried for so long
Now you pick me up and hold me so tight
I try to break free from all of your might
But you're far too strong, and I'm far too weak
That's when I realize it's your love I seek
You lift up my chin and wipe away my tears
I see what I've needed for so many years
I grip your shirt tightly, press my cheek to your chest
I listen to your heartbeat and there I lay to rest

Description:
I dedicate this poem to my darling love.
My poetry always has a message behind and whether or not you understand doesn't really matter to me. Poetry is meant to come from our hearts and to not be forced, but to be full of our current emotion and parts of our life.
I hope you enjoy my poetry! - Date: 08/21/2010
