Despair
Ah, naive soul,
Who has no sense of right and wrong,
Listen to your heart --have control--
[For] This life is too long.
Oh, young one,
Take a look around.
Do you like what you see?
I don't --no, not me.
I cry a cry of despair.
But I am too naive--
I am too young--
to understand life being unfair.
Oh despair! despair! despair!
Will you yet leave me?

Unseen
So night becomes day,
And day becomes night,
Silence becomes "say",
And wrong becomes right.
And so the birds swim,
And the fish begin to fly.
And the sound of laughter
Becomes a pained sigh.
And so time stops,
And the fly begins to hop.
Whereas the toads fly,
While the birds swim by.
Grass is blue,
The sky is green.
I'm so unseen
And shunned, too.
