Mother and child,
Dancing in the sunshine,
Laughing at each other, themselves and the day,
The mother looks at her daughter,
Her flesh her, her blood,
Smiles at the little face,
And loves all of her,
And wishes this day to never end.
The child sees her mother,
Loves her with all her heart,
But she knows these days won’t last long.
