i saw you again
in someone else's photograph
pretty as ever
i still imagine you
on that stage
dancing, laughing
living
beautiful skin
on beautiful bones
smiling through the masses
hoping to catch my eye
walking hand in hand
stealing kisses
under summer stars
i saw you again
and im sorry
its been a long time
all the reasons
have fled
but the feelings remain
old wounds
still bleed
could have sworn
i stitched them
long ago
how thin the line
between love and hate
swore that we
would face the world
together
must have lost
ourselves along the way
and now i am here
looking at your picture
finally seeing you again
after all this time
and i cant
even
remember
your name
