Green Skinned Companion
by Leeny
I'm standing here in the shadows, everyone staring down at me.
I'm standing here in the spotlight, begging to be set free.
I want something true, pure and delicious.
I need something deep, dark and sometimes unpleasant.
But isn't that the twisted beauty of fate?
Oh isn't this the horrible delicacy of love?
Just wanting to be set free by a hand none too tender.
I only need a little obsession, a little desire, a lot of affection.
Perhaps within those white walls lies a green skinned companion.
Maybe within that withered mind beats a red blooded heart.
Faceless.. nameless.. only left with a wish, and a dying hope.
I loved you.. I did it all, for you.
Yet I am always the one left alone at the end of the day.
And you're always the one to leave me at the break, of dawn.
