Trading innocence...for a small piece of the fading sun
Losing what freedoms I had
Just to dream a while, and maybe believe again...
Know why it has to be like this.
Reaching for the stars I found, so far from here
Shining brighter, forever
Forgetting the way home, passing you by
And the sun sets, again.
You'll never know
The way the light winks out, through falling water
Obscuring the day
With wonder in my eyes, the splendor becomes the lie
Illusions in my heart
Reflecting in the water, below the peaks
What once was home
Sunlight quickly fading
Is the sign it's time to try, to feel your touch again
Finding faith in my strength alone...
I don't know where I am, in this vacant and dry land
How did I come to be here, without love, running, how did I do wrong, endless pain goes on.
If I try, to hold out, is there ever a time it's too late
At the end of the day when I'm on my way
Can a single hand be found, amongst the prayers, I'm drowned
I feel lost even though I'm close, it can't be that time
The sparkling sun on water, below high peaks, gentle breeze and I am home
Just a stone's throw from this place, where the angels are so strange
Just a voice in the dark, on the way, from where it's all strange
Catch my hand, as I fall, hold me tight, bring me home
Let me fall gently, once.
