My heart was in so much pain
And again I came to you
Tears streaming down
I told you the story
All you could tell me was the other person’s side
I don’t need that
I don’t need that
Not when I’m in the state
Then you start yelling
Accusing me of not listening
I’m trying mama, I’m trying
Where is the “it’s going to be ok”?
Where is the hug?
Then you holler,
“SHUT UP!” over and over again
Calumnies galore
Treating me like I’m stupid
But in return telling me I’m treating you like you’re stupid
Complaining I’m hurting you
Complaining I’m not open enough to you
Mama, I know you’re not stupid
And I really do love you
But when you treat me like this
Why would I want to tell you all that pains me?
Why do I keep thinking you will be different next time I cry?

- Title: Heart of Pains
- Artist: Release The Penguin
- Description: So, I was searching through so OLD documents and found this one. It's a true story (er poem) about something that happened A LOT in my childhood. It's not really poetic, but not really a story.
